Lovely staff, v comfortable beds, beautifully designed rooms and bathrooms, up and coming location. breakfast was excellent
we were not informed that the restaurant was open only for breakfast, so no lunch, dinner or room services were available during our stay. also there was no spa menu in the room so i didn't realise until the last night what my options were, by which time it was too late to book

quirky decor and friendly, obliging staff.
Advertised as a spa hotel. There were no steam rooms, jacuzzi etc only 2 treatment rooms. When i asked to book a massage i was told the therapist was not working? Advertised as having a restaruant. They do have a breakfast/bar area which can be used as a restarant but we were told you need to pre order your food the day before if you wish to eat in the evening- not ideal if you come back after long day and can't be bothered to go back out again. We booked a luxury room which did not include a sofa bed/sleeper couch as stated (there would not have been room), Asked for use of the complementary playstation that comes as standard and was told that there were none available which considering i had a teenage boy travelling with me was a nuisance

The owners and staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. They went out of their way to provide proper service and amenities.
Due to the location on a busy road, the ventilation was not ideal. the decor was notto our liking but we know it is to be changed.

I was lucky enough to get the last room at this stylish hotel on my weekend in Cape Town. Excellent location, stunning rooms, amazing bathrooms and fabulous balcony with plunge pool and sun lounge deck and that was just the private area. There is a lounge pool, great breakfast and spa treatments too !
Nothing to fault at all in this hotel.

I was very ill the second time i went to the sugar hotel and ended my in hospital traveling alone all of the staff were so comforting and even came to visit me on my over night stay in hospital. Great location. Lovely room, nice breakfasts. Close to the water front. Friendly staff. Thanks for the wonderful time in Cape Town.
Bathroom had not been cleaned properly prior to our arrival into our room, and when commented to staff it was made out that it was because we had arrived early. I felt this was a major issue, which I brought up with the owners of the hotel. Other than this we had a wonderful time and would recommend it to our friends.
